2024年に群馬県で開催されたArt Fair NAKANOJO にて、DamaDamTalは中之条の町自体を舞台にした
体験型の作品《声２》を発表しました。この作品は観客が受付で渡された地図と音声作品と共に散歩に出かけ、
自身が演劇に入り込んだような体験をして帰ってくるというものです。今回の新宿スペース・ゼロの個展では、
高層ビルが立ち並ぶ新宿を舞台にした《声３「地上は終わった後と始まる前で溢れてる」》を発表。
わたしたちが日常の感覚で捉え“こういうものだ ”としている世界も、視覚と聴覚のほんの少しのブレだけで
違うものに感じられます。この作品によって普段とは違って見えるかもしれない新宿の光景も紛れもない現実
の光景です。DamaDamTal《声》の作品シリーズを体験するということは、現実世界で眼を開けたまま夢を
見られるようになるための練習なのです。

展示室では、DamaDamTalの記憶と石のプロジェクトを展示。参照 The flyer was turned to stone.
わたしたちは“現実には起きなかったことも記憶の一部になり得る”ということに着目し、これまで読んだ本の
記憶、覚えている夢の記憶など、現実の裏に隠れて体内に堆積している言葉や物語の記憶を、石として現実の中
に取り出して眺めてみることにしました。

At the Art Fair NAKANOJO (Gunma Prefecture) 2024, DamaDamTal presented the experiential work ”Koe 2”,

which used the town of Nakanojo itself as its stage.

This work involves the audience setting off on a walk with a map and audio piece received at reception,
experiencing an immersive sensation as if entering the play itself.

For this solo exhibition, we present Koe 3, set against the backdrop of Shinjuku's towering skyscrapers.

The world we perceive through our everyday senses and dismiss as “just the way it is”

can feel entirely different when our sight and hearing are merely slightly out of sync.

Experiencing the Damadamtar Koe series is akin to practising dream-like states with your eyes wide open in the real world.
 

And in the exhibition room, the DamaDamTal Memory and Stone Project was displayed. Reference The flyer was turned to stone.

We focused on the notion that “even things that never actually happened can become part of our memory”.

These works transform the memories of words and stories—memories of books read, dreams dreamt, and so forth—

that lurk deep within reality and accumulate within us, into stone for contemplation.
